Depending on the type of park ticket you have, it may include Pleasure Island. It offers 8 different themed nightclubs and 2 more are in the process of being constructed. There are dance clubs playing a variety of music from different eras. There are comedy clubs, Jazz clubs and several other clubs. If you’re hungry, there are numerous restaurants at Pleasure Island that are open throughout the day and night, plus no admission ticket is required. Parking is free, which is an added bonus if you’re driving from an Orlando hotel .

Another great night time attraction is the Dinner Shows. There is a great variety to choose from such as the Arabian nights, which lets you watch a spectacular story unfold with more than 60 amazing horses as you eat from a fantastic prime rib banquet. The Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede , which is located next to the Premium Outlet Mall, has it all: horses, comedy, singing and dancing, a 4-course meal and a wonderful patriotic finale. Medieval Times is based in a castle with knights jousting and playing games while you feast. If those Dinner Shows don’t seem to your liking, try the Murder Watch Mystery or the Pirates Dinner Adventure instead. But, no matter what, Orlando in the night time is one big party place.

Located on the west side of Vancouver’s downtown peninsula is English Bay. This is a popular spot to get a nice cup of coffee with friends, enjoy a sunset picnic and taking a romantic stroll along the beach. Throughout the summer, English Bay beach is very popular with beach enthusiasts, sunbathers and wave watchers.

Vancouver’s famous seawall winds through the park area, with paths for walkers and joggers and a separate path for cyclists and skaters. English Bay is within walking distance from most of the better Vancouver hotels and is adjacent to the city’s crown jewel, Stanley Park . There are kayak rentals, volleyball nets and public changing-rooms and only a few steps away are great restaurants, ice cream and coffee.

There is also a large stone Inukshuk; a landmark symbol used by the Inuit tribe of northern Canada. Originally constructed for the 1986 World Expo, then relocated to English Bay and now has become a very popular photo opportunity and backdrop.

English Bay has plenty of palm trees, which is an unusual sight in Vancouver, but due to the climate in this part of Vancouver, the palm trees thrive all year round. English Bay is also home to the Celebration of Light , an international fireworks competition held at the end of July and the beginning of August every year.

Families visiting Australia this autumn should take time to visit the Sydney Children’s Festival . Held during the local school holidays, Sept 27th – Oct 9th, the Festival features workshops, performances, and activities for children and families. Best of all, over 75% of the events are free. Held at Sydney’s CarriageWorks, the exhibitions and events are designed for children 12 and under to learn, engage, and have fun.

The festival focuses on the Child as the Artist. Workshops and exhibits allow children and their parents to experience storytelling, music, film, theater, dance, visual arts, circus, and practical crafts alongside experience professionals. CarriageWorks , a center for Sydney culture and arts since its opening in 2007, is the perfect venue for this unique event.

Workshops will give children hands on experience with crafts, arts, and performance. Circus workshops should be popular, but there are also workshops for jewellery making, digital photography, gardening, cooking, and creativity. There’s even a “make a film in a day” workshop for budding film makers.

While the festival is designed for locals, there’s no reason that visitors to hotels in Sydney shouldn’t check out the schedule and give their kids a once-in-lifetime opportunity to experience art in Sydney.

Taking a stroll through nearly any gallery of contemporary art in Brazil, one is going to find evidence of the great thrust toward conceptual art in the late 60s and early 70s. The conditions in the country were such that it made more sense than ever to embrace the ephemeral, where artists would perform actions with objects they could throw away, or might otherwise disintegrate on their own. The trend toward the ephemeral was also boosted by the Fluxus movement, as well as other avant garde descendants who were finding new ways of making meaning. It’s still very much a part of how things are in Rio today, where visitors can leave their hotel in Rio de Janeiro to wander into a gallery where the level of experiment is still very high.

It wouldn’t be that way without the previous generation’s efforts, and certainly couldn’t have happened without the work of Artur Barrio . His work blends into his life, and the whole thing comes to resemble a large art experiment. He’s been at the forefront of many different changes in the art scene, affecting the culture at large on a local and international scale. When other artists were talking about impermanence, he was practicing it, and performing it, and writing about it in a simultaneous narration of the moment. He’s lived it so thoroughly that his work has been impossible to archive, and it wasn’t until 2006, when he was 61, that he had his first exhibition in the US . It wasn’t that he was unknown, but that no one knew how to show the work.

Delhi is deeply unfriendly to pedestrians, who walk only because they don’t have a choice. In Old Delhi, it is better to be in a cycle rickshaw, no matter how medieval it feels, it’s better than being run over by one. The Delhi Metro now connects the old city to the new, which looks like an alien has landed. The green and yellow auto rickshaws and the black and yellow taxis, which tirelessly hang around Delhi hotels , train stations and everywhere one looks, can take you anywhere, but only after a bout of haggling.

Once you’ve got the hang of transportation in Delhi, travel by the Metro to the Chandni Chowk stop, then proceed to get lost in the alleys and dead-ends of Old Delhi. Use Jama Masjids minarets to navigate by, at the mosque, leave your shoes at the entrance and feel the warm sandstone under your feet. The Bahamas certainly form the basis of many fantasy and dream vacation destinations, and this is for a great reason. The entire series of islands is so amazingly gorgeous and has some of the most beautiful beaches and views in the world that it is nearly impossible not to see them as the virtual paradise on earth. And this feeling is only heightened by the tourists who do make the trip and enjoy a great stay in one of the grand Bahamas hotels.
